Dialog Telekom, the connectivity partner to the Micrmoax IIFA Awards
and the Videocon IIFA Weekend, joined the Defence Ministry to gift 150
tickets to be extended to disabled war heroes enabling them to witness
the celebrity cricket match between Indian cinema stars and Sri Lankan
cricketing idols. Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Central Bank
Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and Dialog Group Chief Executive Dr Hans
Wijayasuriya expressed their appreciation for the invaluable
contribution made by the Security Forces towards the forward development
of the nation.
“It brings pride to all us Sri Lankans that Colombo has joined the
ranks of high profile global venues such as Macau, London, Amsterdam,
Dubai and Johannesburg to host the IIFA Awards and Celebrity Weekend.
As the connectivity partner to this global event, Dialog has
supported the Defence Ministry and the event organizers to enable our
war heroes to join in the associated festivities.
Their noble sacrifices have paved the way for an all new global
