Ministry to develop National Archives

The National Heritage and Cultural Affairs Ministry will provide human and physical resources to develop the National Archives Department to the international standard, Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said following a visit to the National Archives Department.

The National Archives Department protects the history of the country. The department should eliminate problems and provide a good service to the visitors, the Minister said.

National Archives Department Director Dr. Saroja Wettasinha said people can get information to augment their personal archives from the Department and can hand over their archives to the department for protection.
