Thilina and Chamara to lead Sri Lanka ‘A’ teams for Australia

The Minister of Sports has approved the Sri Lanka ‘A’ teams to tour Australia next month.The teams are scheduled to leave the island in June. They will play one practice game, two four day games,one twenty20 game and three ODIs against Australia ‘A’ team.

The Lankan team is captained by Thilina Kandamby in the four day game while Chamara Kapugedera will be the skipper for the limited over games.Though Kapugedera is appointed as the captain for the limited over games he is kept out of the longer version matches.

Kaushal Silva, Dhammika Prasad, Tharanga Paranavithana and Chaminda Vidanapathirana who will do services for the four day games will return home before the limited over games and they will be replaced by Chamara Kapugedera, Isuru Udana, Farvez Maharoof, Dilshan Munaweera and Mahela Udawatte for the ODIs and the Twenty20 match.
