Floods delay flights

Two international flights to London and Dubai were delayed due to the bad weather conditions in and around the airport yesterday.

The BIA Duty Manager said Sri Lankan Airlines and Mihin Lanka flights to London and Dubai were delayed as a result of passengers getting delayed to report on time due to the heavy flooding in and around the Katunayake airport.

"Though the heavy rains still prevail, the Airport is determined to stick to original flight schedules," the Duty Manager said.
