Air Force women set up Sri Lanka record

Sri Lanka Air Force women accounted for the only Sri Lanka record established on the opening day of the Mobitel Relay Carnival 2010 which is now underway at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama, Homagama. They finished the womens 4X1500m race in style, making a good note on the opening day of the three day relay extravaganza. A Ratnayake MMV Walala gave their school's good name a good run when they won both men's and women's 4X1500m events in under 18 and 20 age groups.

Athletes from over 150 are taking part in this ever popular Relay Carnival which comprises various relay events for girls and boys from under 12 to 20. There is also an Open Event for men and women. The event is sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel for the fourth successive year.
