Havelocks - CH clash should be a thriller
Havelocks Sports Club get a golden opportunity to register their
first win for the season when they play host to a youthful CH and FC
outfit in their Caltex ‘A’ Division league rugby match at Havelock Park
today.
The lads from Havelock Town lost both matches which they played to
Kandy SC (0-44) and Air Force (3-20) while CH and FC who began the
season on a winning note by overcoming Army (26-20) went down to Navy by
3-10 last Saturday and a close game is on the cards today.
Today’s game should turn out to be a clash between the powerful
Havelocks forwards and CH and FC’s speedy three quarters.
The park club led by hooker Rajiv Perera have experienced forwards of
the calibre of Shafi Hassen, Kavinda Jayasena, Sentil Kumar, former CH

have an adequate halves combination while centres Avantha Hettiarachchi,

breaching the Havelocks defence.
