Call to hoist National Flag until May 20

The Government has decided to hoist the National Flag in all State institutions from May 14 to 20 to celebrate the elimination of terrorism from the country and the Security Forces victory, an Information Department release said yesterday.

The Government expects the National Flag will be hoisted in all private institutions and houses during this week.

The release said that the commemoration of Forces who made the supreme sacrifice for the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country is a national requirement.

“It is the duty and the responsibility of all Sri Lankans to honour the Security Forces who freed the country from terrorism,” the release said.
