School, hospital in Panadura under water

All low lying areas around Bolgoda Lake and the Kaluganga in Panadura were flooded due to heavy rain experienced yesterday.

Most roads in the area upto Palindanuwara went under water. Canals had been blocked causing water to overflow to the roads.

Royal College, Panadura was closed yesterday after the school premises was under water. The premises of the Panadura Hospital was also under water while the road from Panadura upto Pallimulla was under two feet of water.
