Applications for scholarships

Applications are invited for the scholarships for the children of estate workers who are resident on estates to be awarded by the Ceylon Estate Workers’ Education Trust (CEWET).

The scholarships are available for G.C.E. Advanced Level and University courses.

Students who have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary or Advanced Level examination with either Mathematics or Arithmetic at the G.C.E. ‘O’ Level examination and below 25 years are eligible to apply.

Application forms are available at the Indian High Commission 36-38, Galle Road, Colombo 3 and the Indian Assistant High Commission, No. 31, Rajapihilla Mawatha, Kandy. Applications should reach the Secretary, CEWET c/o High Commission of India, Colombo 3 on or before June 15.
