Networking event with Pakistan business delegation

The Pakistan - Sri Lanka Business Forum in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Pakistan organized a Business Delegation to visit Sri Lanka from May 6 to 9, 2010. Consul General and Pakistan Sri Lanka Business Forum Patron V.S. Sidath co-ordinated the delegation of 22 business leaders from Pakistan. Pakistan - Sri Lanka Business Forum President Abdul Rauf Tabani led the delegation.

The Sri Lanka - Pakistan Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce with a view to facilitate members to interact with the delegates, organised a networking evening on Thursday May 6 at the Ramada Hotel. Ms. Mariam Saeed, Charge d' Affaires of the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Colombo graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Sidath Kumar said the time is right for Sri Lanka to open its doors to encourage more visits from trade delegations.

Tabani emphasised that the visit will definitely further the trade relationship among Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

President Upali Panditharatna and Vice President Rohitha Thilakaratne represented the Sri Lanka - Pakistan Business Council and Management Executive Satheeka Kavisekera represented the Secretariat of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
