Robber gang arrested

Madampe police arrested a gang of six who entered an estate and assaulted its caretaker with a fire-arm before fleeing with gold jewellery worth Rs. 6 lakhs. The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. yesterday in Puliyankara.

The caretaker was admitted to the Bingiriya hospital with injuries. Madampe police are conducting inquiries.
