Wijesinghe PM’s Media Secy

Veteran media personality, Sisira Wijesinghe has been appointed as the new Media Secretary to Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne.

Wijesinghe who has been in the main stream Media for the past 13 years is a Degree holder in Mass Communications from the Kelaniya University.

Wijesinghe who began his career as an Assistant News Producer at SLRC in 1997, later joined TNL TV, Derana TV and ABC Networks as an Assistant News Editor.

He has also worked at Max TV, Sath FM and SLBC holding responsible positions in the news stream.

When the Premier was holding the Plantations portfolio in the last Cabinet Wijesinghe acted as his Media Secretary.
