Fine on Galle Face Green polluters

Polluters of Galle Face Green are to be fined on a Presidential directive.

A special investigation team is to be deployed in this connection while police are also expected to join to maintain cleanliness of the Galle Face Green, Presidential Media sources said.

The Galle Face Green located within the High Security Zone was fully opened for the public a few months back.

Sources said with large crowds visiting the location day and night, there have been complaints from the public that Galle Face Green is being polluted.
