People's Bank releases 'Economic Review' latest issue

People's Bank has released the latest issue of their semi-academic journal - the Economic Review, which will come out in this month, with a special report on the Development of North and East of Sri Lanka.

The journal, which is published with the aim of disseminating knowledge and information on national, international and global socio-economic issues of contemporary importance to the local community, is intended, particularly, to promote knowledge and interests in the economy and economic development processes of the country, the region and the world.

It provides a forum for in-depth analysis and discussions on important socio-economic issues and development-related topics, and as such, following this issue, a series of special reports are being prepared for future editions as well.

"Each issue of the journal contains a separate special report (cover story), in addition to a number of features and columns," the Director Research Pushpakumara said. "The special report contains a comprehensive analysis of a socio-economic topic/theme on contemporary importance," he said.
