Paceman for spinner

Paceman Thilan Thushara was called in as a replacement for the injured Muttiah Muralitharan in the Sri Lankan squad for the ongoing ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup.

Murali injured his groin in the first match against New Zealand and missed the game against Zimbabwe.

However, Thushara will only be considered for selection if Muralitharan is unable to take further part in the World Twenty20 according to the Sri Lanka Cricket officials.

Sri Lanka play their first Super Eight Game today, against West Indies in Barbados.
