To clear backlog:

SriLankan books alternate flights

Passengers who were held back in Colombo due to the flight disruptions last week caused by the volcanic eruptions in Iceland and the subsequent closure of most European airports have now been booked on alternate flights, the airline said.

All passengers have been re-accommodated on the additional flights scheduled to clear this backlog. Seven flights have been added to the airline’s weekly schedule of 19 flights to Europe.

The last such additional flight will leave this Wednesday April 28, after which the airline’s schedule will get back to its normal 12 flights to London, four to Frankfurt, three to Paris and two each to Rome and Milan.

If passengers booked on a SriLankan flight and could not fly because of the flight disruption, has not yet been rescheduled on an alternate flight they are requested to contact 0197335500 immediately.
