The Walana Police Special Anti Corruption Unit raided a massive illicit liquor den which was carried on either side of the Gin Oya in Wennappuwa and seized 102 barrels of Goda and 25 cans with 1250 bottles of spirits.

Police Spokesman SP Prishanatha Jayakody told the Daily News that the Police also arrested three male suspects and one female suspect with the productions.

He said the raid was conducted on Wednesday and Police seizes 217,892 drams of Goda in the 102 barrels, 16 polythene bags and 10 sacks of sugar.

The suspects were handed over to the Wennappuwa Police to take legal action against them and conduct further investigations.
