Underage girl employed at night club

An underage girl was found employed in a Night Club in the Bambalapitiya area during a raid conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) jointly with the Walana Special Anti Corruption Unit on Thursday.

The 15 year old girl and the manager of the Night Club were arrested by the PNB and handed over to the Bambalapitiya Police to take legal action and conduct further investigations. Police spokesman said six night clubs were raided on Thursday in Colombo and would continue raids on the instructions of Inspector General of Police Mahinda Balasooriya to find out if any illegal action is taking place.
