Trishaw robbed on Good Friday

A three wheeler parked outside the Roman Catholic Church, Marawila was robbed on Good Friday (2) when the owner of the vehicle and his family were attending the church service.

The owner of the three wheeler Marian Janaka, a resident of Bandarawatte, Chilaw had lodged a complaint at the Marawila police that he had attended Good Friday mass at the church and came out of the church to find his three wheeler missing. It was valued at Rs 225,000 he stated.

Marawila police are investigating.
