Slimline SC in third consecutive win

Slimline scored their third successive win beating Citi Bank NA by seven wickets in the ongoing, DSI Group sponsored, 'Avi' Trophy, MCA 'F' division, 30 overs league tournament, continued last weekend.

The Mobitel openers, Shane White 111 not out in 84 balls with12 fours and a six and Ruwan Wickramanayake 157 not out in only 98 balls which included 17 fours and 4 sixes, were engaged in a unbroken record of 281-run stand against Finlays, hogged the weekend's limelight while Access Group opener, Sajika Abeynayake's blistering century (115 in 45 balls with 14 fours and 7 sixes, vs Ernst & Young too stood out. Weekend's best bowling came from Slimline's Priyanga Koralagedera who had match figures of 5 for 23 in from six overs vs. Citi Bank.

The tournament will be continued this weekend 27th, 28th, 29th March (long weekend) with a match card of 18 matches.
