Turnover tops Rs 5.7b

The indices at the Colombo Stock Exchange bounced back recording the second highest turnover for the year on strategic stakes in Hatton National Bank changing hands. Total turnover for the day was Rs 5.7 billion with Rs 4.7 billion coming from deals in HNB.

25 million shares of the bank's voting shares changed at Rs 180.00 to state institutions and banks buying.

John Keells Holdings also saw high turnover of Rs 325 million. The share closed at Rs 178.00 while Commercial Bank's voting share closed at 195.00 on turnover of Rs 238 million. First Guardian Equities
