Written by German playwright Theresia Walser and translated for performance by Asoka de Zoysa, 'The War Reporter' has its measured beginnings in a mêlée of nerve-wracked award ceremony attendees and the mysterious appearance of one young reporter with news of war.

Directed by Jake Oorloff and Ruhanie Perera the performance is a collaboration between Goethe-Institut, Sri Lanka, the German Cultural Centre, and the theatre company Floating Space. The War Reporter brings together a cast of performers that include Tehani Chitty, Ashini Fernando, Venuri Perera, Imani Perera, Minari Fernando, Lilanka Botejue, Chinthaka Fernando, Niren Neydorff, Gehan Blok and Christopher Stephen.

The performance runs from March 25 to 28, at the Goethe-Institut, No. 39, Gregory's Road, Colombo 7 (Tel. 2694562) at 7.30pm.

Tickets priced at Rs.400/- will be available at the venue from March 20.
