Kokila stars for Servatius

St. Patricks College, Jaffna were hosted in Matara by St. Servatius College when they travelled the length of the island to play in their Munchee Youth 19 tournament cricket match at Uyanwatta stadium Matara recently.

Right arm off spinner Lahiru Kokila bowled extremely well to capture 5/53 and 5/32 to win the game and take St. Servatius to the semi finals of the division.

They are only one win away from being promoted to division one of the tournament.

St. Servatius have recorded outright wins against Ibbagamuwa Central College. St. Xavier's College, Marawila, Bandaranayaka College, Gampaha and St. Patricks College, Jaffna. A first innings win against Carey College, Colombo and a 1st innings loss to St. Thomas' College, Matale clinched them the top spot in Group 'D' of division II.

St. Patricks : 114/10 (P. Nawadeepa 40, Lahiru Kokila 5/53, Sanjika Ridma 3/30, Kasun Rajitha 2/8)

and 83/10 (Erick Pratharp 36, Lahiru Kokila 5/32, Sanjika Ridma 4/26)

St. Servatius : 195/8 declared. (Kasun Madusanka 41, Lahiru Kokila 40, Sanidu Ediriweera 37) and 5/1
