Virtusa introduces Services Suite

Virtusa Corporation a global IT services company that offers a broad spectrum of business consulting and outsourcing services, has introduced the company's new Enterprise 2.0 Services Suite from the Gartner Portals, Content and Collaboration Summit 2010. Using a set of collaborative technologies including social media, video and mobile, the comprehensive portfolio allows businesses to implement innovative Web 2.0 initiatives for attracting and retaining customers, reducing costs and increasing employee productivity.

"As advanced Web 2.0 technologies enable organizations to leverage the power of collaboration, digital content creation and delivery, and an unprecedented degree of customer engagement, many organizations are unsure of how to put all the pieces together," said Virtusa Senior Director and Head of Global ECM practice Srinivas Kandikonda.

"They're facing questions like how do we share information with employees and customers, and retain knowledge during resource turnover?

How can we better collaborate to increase innovation, productivity and efficiency? Our customers are using new platforms, how can we meet them where they are? These are the things keeping executives awake at night, and our new Enterprise 2.0 Services Suite is a direct response to this need." he said.

Virtusa's Enterprise 2.0 Services Suite helps businesses increase collaboration, content management and staff management across the enterprise. By developing highly interactive and social internal and external facing portals and applications, Virtusa enables customers to better interact with their constituencies, retain employee knowledge and react more quickly to changes in the marketplace. A complete solution, the Enterprise 2.0 Service Suite offers both department and industry-specific services and supports a wide range of platforms, from wikis, blogs, forums and social media platforms to video and mobile publishing. By accelerating and improving the flow of information and ideas, Virtusa drives tangible business results for companies across disciplines and industries.

"Communication in the business world is changing. Social and mobile technologies continue to grow and fuse with more conventional channels, and their business value is too often under-realized.

Our Enterprise 2.0 Service Suite allows today's organizations to increase the sharing of knowledge and content both internally and externally to grow their businesses," said Virtusa Senior Vice President Technical Solutions Group Frank Palermo.

"The flow of information has never been more critical or complex than it is today, and implementing an Enterprise 2.0 strategy can help companies become leaders in their industries," he said.

In addition to supporting social media, the Enterprise 2.0 Service Suite features an integrated mobile publishing solution that allows organizations to deliver content and services on mobile devices. With portals accessible via the mobile Web or through specific applications, the offering keeps companies get ahead of the curve as smartphone adoption and mobile Web access grows and provides another opportunity to further monetize content.
