Around three to four companies set up their offices every month. With the change in the country's situation it has promoted many investment opportunities in the country, an Overseas Reality (Ceylon) official told Daily News Business.

With easy access to WTC many corporate organizations who left the premises due to security reasons have shown their interest in setting up their offices at WTC.

"At present the occupancy rate at WTC is 70 percent and we expect the occupancy rate to increase to around 85 percent this year", the official said.

Key industries that had shown tremendous potential for growth with the dawn of peace has set up their administrative centers at the WTC.

Many have shown their keen interest in setting up their corporate offices.

"For the last 12 years WTC had to maintain various security systems to ensure the safety of employees and the property.

With peace the situation has changed. The public could now enjoy freedom.

But the WTC still has a better security system internally to safeguard people and property," she said.

She said the global economic meltdown it had an indirect impact on their business as the affected companies closed their offices at WTC.

"The external and internal economies are growing and many companies have set up their agencies again at WTC.

We are keen to host many entertainment activities and trade fairs at the WTC and bring back the liveliness to the premises," she said. CdeS
