The Junior Tennis Tournaments which are now in progress, is a two in one exercise, where the one concerns the Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas and the other the World Juniors Tennis Championship. It a prequalifying stage and confined to countries in the Asia oceanic zone viz; Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Syriya Kazakastan and Malaysia.

The tournaments which began on Monday, with one conducted parallel to the other concludes on Friday, February 26.

On the opening day Vimutha De Alwis Tharuna Eshwarage and Shaveen Duragi of Sri Lanka, got off to a good start to win the singles and doubles in the junior Davis Cup tie against Saudi Arabia. In the Junior tennis competition tie, Sri lanka did well in the preliminary through Fairbanks, Shammal Dissanayake and Nadarajah to beat Syria.

The round Robin contest continued yesterday and will continue towards the final stages on Friday 26.
