Novel service from Anuradhapura hospital

Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital will introduce an ambulance service to pick critically ill patients within a radius of five kilometres from the hospital, said Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital Director W.M.T.B. Wijekoon.

“We hope to engage five doctors and 20 nurses for this mobile unit.

This service can be obtained over the phone. It will come into operation after the end of the two week training for the medical team, Wijekoon said.
