Siyoth Ru unfurls threads of inspiration

Jetwing St. Andrew’s was host to a thread art exhibition on birds.
All visitors and guests at the hotel had the opportunity to witness
these unique pieces of art.
Titled Siyoth Ru, the 30 thread art exhibits were inspired creations
of Samanthi Gamage.
Large crowds patronised the exhibition comprising of local and
foreign guests. They were impressed with the creations and admired the
artist’s patience and the life-like colours of the beautiful birds.
Siyoth Ru introduced a new trend in wild life art. A lot of patience
is required to make complex variations of nature on cloth using only a
needle and thread. Many more exhibitions such as this will be organised
in the future to assist this art form at other hotels within the Jetwing
family of hotels.
