Fairy whispers

While I was seated in the green meadow
Under an Oak tree in a cool shadow
Saw a squirrel swaying his tail
Enjoying supper in a fair shell
Cool wind blew swaying my hair
Whispering a tune to fill the air
White clouds sailed up above
On the skies in heavens above
Sun rays fell upon roses
Drained dew, came out brightness
Butterflies fluttered in coloured gowns
The dazzling winds and essence of flowers
The brook in the corner flowed merrily
Water splashed by a cow in valley.

Just then I saw a beautiful fairy
Flew from rainbow down cheerfully
She wore a gown of flower petals
Magic wand in hand gold crown glittered
She danced to the tune of bumble bee
To the flowers she sang in pleasant glee
Picked up roses made a garland
Wore it around, a jasmine on head
Poured nectar she into a buttercup
Drank it slowly, seated on a lily top
Then sun sank and moon came up
On a ladder of stars, climbed up
Down she saw me called me up
I was about to, Mom woke me up

Let man learn from nature

How plants, animals
In nature are living
In peace........
Why man is in conflict,
War-terror or animosity.
Despite the bounty of
Thinking power-reason?
Even tigers, lions,
Bears, wolves in jungles exist without
Causing disorder
Let man learn from
Nature

It was
A never to be repeated gathering
For five decades
The current of life had flowed
Like the Mahaveli winding through
The Campus

Those were
The days of our youth
They passed in frolic and adventure
Young women and men
From the North and South
East and West
In a microcosm of intellectual exploration

Friendships flourished
A few to result in life-long ties
Years passed
We had to leave
Threads of life wove mosaic patterns

And then we met at the gathering
Elders in failing health
Yet, our laughter reverberated
In the hills of Hanthana
As darkness fell
We said"Au revoir"

The gem that I found

It was a milky way....
Filled with clouds.

There was no way to go,
Luckily I have come to you.
Through the hard path.

The dim time made me routed,
But no matter....Coz..
The godly glance of you....
Guided the sense of my sight....
Forever bright.

It's a strange feeling....
I experienced from you.

Our motherland is more proud....
To get the gem that I found.
I seek the new legendary page...
To paste about you.

It's a privilege
That at last I come to know you.
You are a peak!
I couldn't gather words....
To admire you.
Only what i can do is.......
"Hats off to you Sir!"

There's a song in my heart

There's a song in my heart
But there's none to
Lend ear to my songs.
There's sorrow in my heart
But there's none
To share my anguish.
My heart longs for company
But none comes by
To meet my desire
Suddenly
I hear a mystic voice
Ringing in my ear.
'Go out' the voice says,
'Into the open Country,
The golden gifts of Mother Nature
Will fill that void
In your heart.
