Minister decries indecent behaviour

The groups supporting the Opposition behaved in an indecent manner
and hooted at Ministers G.L. Pieris and Mahinda Samarasinghe when they
left the Supreme Court yesterday after witnessing the fundamental rights
application filed by Anoma Fonseka being taken up.
With regard to their behaviour, Disaster Management and Human Rights
Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe, stated that they behaved in an indecent
manner and now they could not go to Courts freely. He said that they
condemn the singled out attacks on the governing party.
He also stated that he would make a complaint together with Minister
G.L Pieris to the Chief Justice in this regard and queried whether they
were the persons who were demanding the governmental power. The same
behaviour is a proof that they were not fit to govern a country and
thanked the people of this country for handing over the country to
President Mahinda Rajapaksa without giving it to these uncivilized
people. |
