New GS1 Sri Lanka website

GS1 designs and implements a global system of supply chain standards. These standards provide a framework that allows products, services and information about them to move efficiently and securely for the benefit of businesses and the improvement of people's lives, everyday, everywhere. The GS1 system of standards is the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world.

GS1 standards are operating in over 108 countries with over one million organizations being members of GS1.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is the sole authorized body in Sri Lanka to operate the GS1 standards. To further educate and create awareness among the Sri Lankan business community on the subject of GS1 standards, a new website, with more information was launched last week.

This website http://www.gs1lanka.lk also enables companies to register online and display member organization products online, which would provide wider exposure in the world market.
