Fraud case: Pakistani woman remanded

Maradana Police arrested a Pakistani woman, aged 47 who allegedly robbed over millions of rupees from a private bank in the country on the pretext of encashing foreign currency.

The woman produced before Maligakanda Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Priyantha Gamage was remanded till February 12.

She will be produced before an identification parade, Police said.

A special Police team has been deployed to trace another Pakistani national who allegedly assisted the woman in custody.
