Arms cache found in Alanchipotha

Police on Wednesday unearthed a stock of arms and ammunition left behind by LTTE cadres in Alanchipotha, Welikanda. Police spokesman SSP I.M. Karunaratna said acting on information a special team from Welikanda police launched a search operation and uncovered a haul of arms and ammunition in the Alanchipotha area at around 5.00am.
