National Day in Ampara

The 62nd National Day was celebrated in all Divisional Secretariats of the Ampara district yesterday.

Divisional Secretaries had organized a number of events, such as tree planting, blood donation and alms giving. Public and private institutions had also organized celebrations by hoisting the national flag.

The main celebration was conducted at the Ampara district Secretariat with the participation of officials from civil service and security forces and religious dignitaries.
