Many Bulls in my China Shop
Carl Muller has done it again! He is a very ‘soft’ reviewer, but
there is a lot of sense in what he says - but combining his views and
reviews and punching them with flair and knowing where his blows must
land, I have found this book tremendously readable and just the thing to
marry the old past with the near future.
As is usual, he has this tendency to talk to his readers as he rolls
along, doing a sort of steeplechase as his subjects leap nattily from
one to the other.
What is particularly nice is the way he breaks into personal stories
that are more than funny and then decide to get deadly serious as though
he is saddled with a job he has to do even if the bottle of good cheer
on his table is below tot level.
All in all, he writes as he pleases and that pleases readers too.
It’s the way of an exceptional writer. Read him. It’s worth it!
