Intelligent decision led to President's victory

The Opposition candidate was able to secure only the Eelam map discarded and reduced to the dustbin by the entire country, said Peradeniya University Economics and Science Department Senior Lecturer Dr. Malaka Ratnathilake.

The people had taken an intelligent decision. Labourers and soldiers had proved that they are intelligent enough to make a correct judgement, he said.

The people showed their gratitude to President Mahinda Rajapaksa who brought peace and economic benefits.

Reactionary forces could mislead only the people caught between dream worlds and the racists, Dr. Ratnathilake said.
