Mahinda take major honours

The Under 19 cricket match played between Rahula College, Matara and Mahinda College, Galle ended in a draw at Uyanwatte Stadium, Matara. The match was played on January 14 and 15.

Mahinda College sans two of their star players Rumesh Buddhika and Denuwan Rajakaruna who are in New Zealand with the Sri Lanka team for the ICC Youth World Cup did extremely well to surpass Rahula College’s 98 and scored 233/9 at stumps. Overnight rain delayed the start and deprived Mahinda College of forcing a result.
