Schools closed from Jan 25 to 27

Schools will be closed from January 25 to 27 in view of the January 26 Presidential election.

According to the Education Ministry, at least 90 percent of schools will be used as polling stations islandwide.

Therefore, these schools should be handed over to the authorities on January 25.

Besides, 45 percent of school teachers will function as polls officers.

"Considering the situation, schools will be closed on January 25, 26 and 27. All schools will reopen on January 28th, sources added.
