Commonwealth Architects Association to meet in Colombo

The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) will host the
Commonwealth Architects Association for the first time in Sri Lanka on
February 18th with regard to the Architects 2010 which is organized by
the SLIA for the 28th consecutive year under the theme of 'Architecture:
Rethinking Sustainability,' Sri Lanka Institute of Architects President,
Archt. Chandana Edirisuriya said yesterday.
He said "We are extremely pleased to host the Commonwealth Architects
Association in Sri Lanka, where over 30 countries will be participating.
This year there will be 11 eminent international speakers and four Sri
Lankan speakers under this year's theme. The Architects 2010 Exhibition
will commence on February 17 at the BMICH," he said.
"Around 350 stalls have been reserved and over 200 companies are
taking part in this year's exhibition, which demonstrate the enthusiasm
in participating in this annual event. The response we received from the
industry is commendable", he said. |
