Temporary IDs through Grama Niladharis

Temporary identity cards for voters who don’t possess the national identity cards issued by the Department of Registration of Persons to cast their ballots only at elections to be held during 2010 will be issued by the respective grama niladhari officers and estate superintendents upto January 21, 2010, Commissioner General of Registration of Persons A. G. Dharmadasa said. Therefore, the prospective applicants should obtain necessary application forms from their grama niladhari officers or estate superintendents and hand over to them the same after being duly filled before this date, Commissioner General further stated.
