Ajith, Kalyani excel at Nationalized Services carrom

Ajith Chandrasoma of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation emerged singles champion at the Nationalized Services carrom championships held at the Sri Lanka Carrom Federation, Reid Avenue, Kalyani Amarasinghe of State Engineering Corporation won double, winning both women's singles and doubles, partnered by Inoka Atapattu of State Engineering Corporation.

The results are as follows: Men's singles: Champion - Ajith Chandrasoma (Petroleum). Runner-up: J. N. Abeywardena (SLCTB).

Men's doubles: Champions - Ajith Chandrasoma / A. D. Vijitha (Petroleum). Runner-up - N.D.P.C. Wijegunawardena/ I.D.B. Nanayanasiri (Lake House).

Women's singles: Champion - Kalyani Amarasinghe (State Engineering Corporation). Runner-up - Inoka Athapaththu (State Engineering Corporation).

Women's doubles: Champions - Kalyani Amarasinghe/Inoka Athapaththu (State Engineering Corporation). Runner-up - Maureen Fernando / K.A.A.R. Udayakumari (Petroleum).

Sunanda Kodagoda the General Secretary of NSCA stated that the above winners and runners-up will receive their trophies and certificates at the Awards Nite to be held on March 26, 2010.
