Sebs gain first innings points

St. Sebestians College, Moratuwa beat St. Peter's College, Bambalapitiya by 14 runs on first innings in their inter-school Under-19 cricket match played at Moratuwa. Continuing at 179 for 9 Sebs were all out for 198 and in reply Peterites made 184 with Ramitha Liyanaarachchi scoring 51 runs. Anuk de Alwis captured 5 for 46. In their second essay at the close Sebs were 245 for 7 with half centuries coming off the bats of Anuka de Alwis, Viroshan Alwis, Deshan Dias and Viroshan Alwis.

Chief scores.

SBC: 198 and 245/7 (Anuk de Alwis 56, Viroshan Alwis 59 n.o, Deshan Dias 69, Ramesh Fernando 29, Jamika Kannangara 3/39).

SPC: 184 (Denham Perera 47, Anjelo Emmanuel 38, Ramitha Liyana-arachchi 51, Samitha de Mel 2/38, Anuk de Alwis 5/46).
