Mahara UNP Pradeshiya Sabha members K. A. Eranga and A. A. Sudima Chandani has pledged to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential Election.

Mahara SLFP chief organiser and Transport Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Mahara PS Chairman Sahan Predeep Vithana (PA) were also present.
