Mafia clique trying to whip up public discord

Sarath Fonseka's mafia clique is trying to whip up public discord against the President and his family by making baseless allegations, said Land Development, Settlement and Ranaviru Welfare Minister Johnston Fernando addressing an election rally at Kundasale on Tuesday. Fernando said that when the President has helped to defeat terrorism through proper leadership it was the duty and responsibility of all patriotic masses to render their unqualified support to him and his Government. He said Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe who pontificated about democracy had suppressed democracy within his own party.

Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said Sarath Fonseka has launched a conspiracy to betray the victory gained by the country in league with the UNP and the JVP.
