Vajroli mudra
Yoga - Part X:
This is not an asana but a mudra. There are severalmudras in yoga and
Vajroli mudra is one of those.
Steps
Stretch the legs forward and place your hands as shown in the
picture. (Img 2374). Look forward and breathe comfortably for 20
seconds.
Place your palms on the floor by the sides of the waist. Slowly lift
the legs while placing the weight of the body on the palms. (See
picture) – Img 2364. Hold your breath while you are in this posture.
Slowly bring down the legs while exhaling. Practise the mudra for
around three times.
Benefits of the posture
Helps maintain a shaped body. Tighten the muscles on the stomach.
This posture also helps maintain a healthy digestive system.
The regular practice of the posture dissolves the excess fat
deposited around the waist.
