Israel attacking Palestinians despite criticism
ISRAEL: Israeli military forces arrested five Palestinians in Naplusa
and Hebron localities on Tuesday, while the government announced the
building of 692 new houses in East Jerusalem, despite the international
criticism on that plan.
Occupying contingent troops in the West Bank on Tuesday conducted
their second consecutive day of raids in various cities to capture Arab
citizens allegedly organizing resistance actions or plotting against Tel
Aviv.
Early Monday morning, Israeli troops also detained nine men at
Qalandia refugee camp, Badu village, Sorief district and Bait Awa
region, in Hebron. Those repressive actions, which included search and
plundering of houses, were carried out after a weekend in which Israeli
troops killed three Palestinians in the West Bank and another three in
Gaza Strip.
The Tel Aviv government also gave permission for building 692 houses
in the neighbourhoods of East Jerusalem, a holy city occupied by Israel
since 1967, and considered by the international community as an integral
part of Palestine.
