Bartleet leasing achieves success

The leasing business of Bartleet Finance has risen significantly following the decision to offer the lowest leasing rates in the market. The move was in line with the Central Bank's initiative to lower lending rates in the country, and has already paid dividends. At present, the company has seven branches and five service centres in the country, but this surge in customer interest could lead to a further expansion of their operations.

The leasing rates now offered by Bartleet Finance are quite appealing. For instance, a leasing facility of Rs.100,000/- will cost customers only Rs. 2495/- every month. The company offers three types of solutions, namely corporate leasing, personal/professional leasing and three-wheeler leasing. Its procedures are streamlined and tailor-made to the individual requirements of customers, and provide the quickest possible solution with minimal red tape and documentation.

Bartleet Finance has always laid much emphasis on a personalized customer service. The use of advanced technology enhances their efficiency in day-to-day operations. Barleet Finance also offers comprehensive Wealth Management Services to customers, which helps them maximize earnings on their investment and plan for their future, in addition to hire purchase, leasing, fixed deposits, import/export finance, pledge loans, real estate development, letters of credit and cheque discounting.

Caltex organizes medical camps

Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, the marketeers of Caltex Havoline and Delo brands in Sri Lanka launched a series of mobile health camps for the general public in November. Under the banner 'Caring....for life', the company has invested in this medical program offered free to participants, as a measure to uplift the standards of public health.

The health partner commissioned by Chevron for this campaign is Medi-Calls (Pvt) Ltd. The mobile camp will operate from the Medi-Calls ambulance which will visit the Caltex service stations to carry out the checks, targeting the residents in each area. The project will host over 1400 checkups during the campaign.

The health examinations include a Random Blood Sugar test (RBS), Body Mass Index (BMI), Blood Pressure test (BP), and a free physician consultation, including the physical examination by a SLMC registered doctor.

Under the same initiative, the company decided to run a special focused program for over 200 residents in Ampara. Free health checks were carried out for the two-wheeler and three-wheeler community as a measure to address the significant rise of diabetes and kidney-related diseases prevalent among the Ampara community. Chevron successfully carried out the health camp addressing these two ailments by conducting the Random Blood Sugar (RBS) test for Diabetes and the Blood Pressure (BP) check for kidney related diagnosis.

In addition to the RBS and BP tests, the BMI and a free physician consultation, including the physical examination by a SLMC registered doctor were also conducted.

"The physical wellbeing of a person affects his or her mental and emotional wellbeing; thereby making a direct impact on the individual's interaction and performance in a large community.

As such, we decided to initiate a free medical program for the public, implying the need for them to safeguard and maintain good health to improve their quality of life" commented Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC MD and CEO Kishu Gomes.

The ambulance is a specially manufactured mobile clinic, by the Nissan Motor Company in Japan.
