CIM Sri Lanka Corporate Dinner Meeting:
Lessons from the Lankan economy
"Lessons from the Sri Lankan Economy and the way forward - a
marketeer's perspective" was a corporate dinner meeting organized by the
CIM Member Group - The Maldives Chapter under the patronage of the CIM
Sri Lanka Region, held recently in Male.

The Keynote Speaker was Rohantha Athukorala, National Portfolio
Development Manager to Sri Lanka and The Maldives of the United Nations
Office for Project Services (UNOPS). State Minister for Higher
Education, Ahmed Ali Manik, Villa College Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar, were
also among the high profile audience.
Senior Vice Chairperson and Regional Director for South Asia of CIM
Sri Lanka Region Chitrangani Herat Gunaratne, and CIM Sri Lanka Region
Immediate Past Chairman Shiraz Latiff, were also present.
"Lessons from the Sri Lankan Economy and the way forward - a
marketeer's perspective" was the second program organized by the CIM
Maldives Chapter for corporates.
The program was well attended and the response was encouraging. The
CIM Maldives Chapter intends to organize similar programs in future too,
to educate the corporates on the role of marketing in economic
development.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK is the world's largest and
most prestigious professional body for marketing with over 60,000
members worldwide.
The Member Group - Maldives Chapter is the first ever CIM Member
Group in the South Asia Region.
