New look Lankan team for tri-series

in uncapped left hand opening batsman Lahiru Thirimanna into the Sri
Lanka team for the forthcoming Tri Series limited overs tournament
in Bangladesh.

Disastrous tour for Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka team returned to the island from India
yesterday, after what could be called a disastrous tour salted with
series of defeats. The team starred in three tests, two T20’s and
five one day internationals with the final ODI being abandoned when
Sri Lanka were reeling at 85 for 5 due to dangerous pitch
conditions.

Nuwan Hettiarachchi 21/17, 21/14 in the men’s singles semi final
