Films to watch out for in 2010 :

Come 2010 and a line up of films are waiting at the helm to make their entrance to the scene at theaters across the island. Some of these creations have had their trailers running for months at cinema halls, raising the eagerness of the audience while others have kept mum about their projects. Daily News 'Projector' takes a glance at six of the major productions that will unspool next year.

Alunkulama's Film latest production Suwanda Danuna Jeevithe the maiden film direction of producer turned director Dhammika Siriwardena is complete and ready for release at EAP circuit cinemas. The movie stars stunning Pooja Umashanker and Roshan Ranawana backed by Sanath Gunathilake, Moraine Charuni, Ramani Siriwardhane, Himali Siriwardhane, Rex Koddippilie, Gayathri Dias, Pubudu Chathuranga and others.

The movie scripted by Siriwardena took shape after a 52-day hectic shooting schedule in picturesque locations in the island. Based on a stirring love story Suwanda Danuna Jeevithe also includes some foot-tapping numbers.

Mago Digo Dai

Film importer and distributor Janitha Marasinghe's debut movie production Mago Digo Dai introduces Gamini of 'Sirasa Super Star' fame to cinema.

The movie also features Vijaya Nandasiri and Anarkalli Aakarsha along with Sanath Gunathilaka, Ronnie Leitch, Anton Jude, Sunil Hettiarachchi, Wasala Senarath Dilshani Perera, Sashiranga Wickremasekera, Tennyson Edirisinghe, Malan Karunaratne, Ramesh Uvais and Anura Bandara Rajaguru.

Directed by Lal Priyadeva, the comedy film relates a story of a police intelligence unit in which main investigators are Sergeant C. K. Perera and PC I. O. Aari takes to investigating a daring case.
